FAB Technician

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Semiconductor FAB Technician to join our Production Department. The technician will support daily manufacturing operations in a cleanroom environment, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of semiconductor wafers.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

· Operate, monitor, and maintain FAB equipment (e.g., etching, deposition, lithography).

· Load and unload wafers from production tools with precision and care.

· Perform equipment start-up, shutdown, and troubleshooting procedures.

· Conduct production inspection for first article of the lot and model change.

· Inventory of daily usage of raw materials and tools at the production line (e.g., chemicals, film, singulation tools).

· Take initial and containment actions and troubleshooting when the machines are down.

· Control the recipe and teach the inspection area for inspection machines.

· Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and cleanroom protocols.

· Log production data, machine status, and process issues accurately.

· Collaborate with engineers and other operators to meet production goals.

· Cooperate with regular maintenance and calibration of equipment.

· Maintain cleanliness and safety within the FAB environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and science or equivalent preferred; associate degree or technical training required.
  • Experience in semiconductor or cleanroom environments is a plus.
  • Basic mechanical or electrical skills.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom with full protective gear (gown, gloves, mask).
  • Willingness to work shifts (day, night, or rotating as needed).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

 

Work Schedule:

  • 8 to 12-hour shifts (night shift).
  • Possible weekend or rotating schedule based on production needs.

 

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Knowledge of wafer handling and FAB processes.
  • Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) & EMS (Equipment Management Systems).
  • Familiarity with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
