JOB DESCRIPTION
The Process and Metrology Intern will play an important role in the smooth operation of Multibeam’s demo lab, where we work with customers to demonstrate our novel lithography capabilities and enable new applications for our next-generation, high-productivity electron beam writing system. This opportunity is open to individuals willing to start immediately and work for a period of at least 12 weeks.
As a member of the Patterning Group, you will support metrology and data analysis efforts and work hands-on processing wafers in our cleanroom. You will work closely with other engineers in the group to execute process experiments and wafer measurements. You may also have the opportunity to learn about related hardware, software, and applications, collaborating with engineers across the company. The ideal candidate is meticulous, flexible, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a dynamic technical environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate semiconductor metrology and lithography equipment in a cleanroom environment
Analyze image data and generate reports and presentations to communicate results
Perform microscope inspection of patterned wafers, coordinate metrology with partner labs
Wafer processing, including resist coat and develop
Support calibration and testing of hardware subsystems and installing lab equipment as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and metrology
Understanding of nanostructure characterization methods, especially SEM
Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and organization skills
Comfortable learning how to use new laboratory equipment and software tools
Preference for one or more of the following, but can be learned on the job:
Data analysis, including image processing and statistical methods
Hands-on experience using optical or electron microscopes
Previous work in a cleanroom, with wet chemicals, and/or handling wafers
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Pursuing a degree in a semiconductor-related field (Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, etc.)
Relevant coursework, previous lab or work experience preferred
