PQA Deviation Engineer
As a PQA Deviation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. in Manassas, VA (MTV), you are responsible for implementing effective programs to reduce the occurrence of non-conforming product. This will be accomplished by methodically analyzing deviation events and potential risks within our defense line structure, brainstorming solutions in a cross functional setting, and implementing systemic improvements.
Responsibilities
Monitor and improve internal quality
Lead root cause analysis using structured problem-solving tools such as 8D and FMEA.
Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to implement containment and corrective actions.
Publish daily Scrap/Quality Deviation/Excursion details to escalate tactical response to all manufacturing teams.
Determine systemic root cause for deviations and near misses that impact multiple areas.
Drive site and department wide projects to improve systemic root causes.
Identify or create tools for problem solving to aid areas in risk reduction.
Tactical support in guiding areas through difficult Scrap/Quality Deviation decisions.
Publish and maintain PQA metric status, projections, and goals for the site.
Maintains Databases, Scripts, Dashboards, and Tableau reports that support the team
Represent Fab 6 in global meetings
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree of Science or Engineering or equivalent experience. Preferred majors are chemical engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering.
Course Work in Semi-Conductor Manufacturing
Education or Experience in Effective Problem-Solving Methods such as 8D, Six Sigma
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of scripting languages like Python.
Experience with SQL Databases
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to Leverage Gen AI in coding applications
Education or Experience in Implementation of quality programs including 8D problem solving, Six Sigma, and ISO implementation.
Education or Experience in Direct Cause, Specific Root Cause, and Systemic Root Cause;
Education or Experience in Data analysis skills with structured and unstructured data
Previous internship or project experience in semi-conductor manufacturing.
Ability to meet project timelines and work with precision.
Understanding semiconductor/manufacturing environments/process flows
Understanding reliability failure models, knowledge of semiconductor device physics, CMOS, DRAM/Flash memory electrical operation
