Electrical / Computer / Electronics Engineer – PCB Design & Development

The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking an engineer to join the Weapon Control Hardware Branch (Code H42) and support the Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects.
BMS is a government-owned mission planning and fire control system supporting the safe and effective employment of Precision Guided Weapons and Gun Weapon Systems from manned and unmanned aircraft and surface platforms.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone with experience in printed circuit board design and development who wants to work alongside electrical, mechanical, embedded software, systems, and quality assurance engineers to develop mission-critical hardware.
In This Role, You Will:
- Design custom printed circuit boards using ARM-based microcontrollers
- Perform full schematic capture and PCB layout design
- Design cables and harnesses connecting circuit cards to external interfaces
- Troubleshoot and support the initial bring-up of newly designed circuit boards
- Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Software, and Quality Assurance teams
- Develop Technical Design Packages, fabrication instructions, and assembly documentation
- Support hardware integration, testing, and technical reviews
- Evaluate system performance and recommend improvements
- Present technical progress and results to engineering teams and program stakeholders
