Semiconductor Test Engineer

The Semiconductor Test  Engineer is responsible for developing production test and calibration solutions for SiTime’s precision timing products.  This includes test plan development, test & trim algorithm development, and software implementation and validation on both custom and standard automated test equipment (ATE) platforms.  The Semiconductor Test  Engineer will work closely with the Engineering and Operations groups to successfully develop and release production test solutions to both local and overseas facilities.  Previous experience in mixed-signal test development is desired but not required for this role, provided that the educational requirements are met.

  • Work with cross-functional teams in developing test and calibration solutions for complex timing products from concept to production release.
  • Develop overall test architecture, test flows, and new test methodologies.
  • Write test plans, develop test code (C++ or other), and validate test program and program releases on standard ATE platforms and custom test platforms.
  • Work with suppliers/vendors to ensure overall product quality and cost.
  • Responsible for supporting customer returns through coordination with core team members to resolve issues (Failure Analysis, Test improvements).

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or another related field.
  • Proficiency in C++.
  • Knowledge of mixed-signal analog circuits (PLLs, DACs, VCOs).
  • Knowledge of MEMS is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with instrument automation using GPIB, LAN or equivalent.
  • Must be physically able to lift, push, pull up to 10 lbs.
