Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

A Service Systems Engineer in the Predictive Analytics group is responsible for driving design changes, sometimes fundamental ones, to optimize serviceability, cost-of-service, as well as service revenue and profitability through design review and data analytics. This requires a solid understanding of overall system as well as technology specific risk areas for electron beam systems. You will work closely with Tech Support, New Product Integration, and Division Engineering and with field data to fully understand how our tools are operating in the field to identify, build, and drive predictive design requirements and features into new tool design as well as solve existing critical problems.

 

  • Work with the development team on design challenges pertinent to Service on electron beam and vacuum systems (e.g. diagnostics, reliability, matching, system tolerances) as well as on key elements of prototype testing.
  • Influence designers and designs to include features that will optimize KLA service business: calibrations and diagnostics, cost of service, reliability, design tolerances, IP protection.
  • Efficiently take data from multiple tools and other sources to identify sources of detailed issues, including technical, process, and people-based issues; analyze and present conclusions and recommended actions.
  • Design tools for helping field and service engineers become more efficient – e.g. data analysis and predictive modelling.

Preferred Qualifications:

PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree in engineering
