Process Integration Engineer

iDEAL Semiconductors is breaking the boundaries of the Power Semiconductor space by defining and developing cutting edge technologies for use in the product development of silicon power Diodes, MOSFETs, and IGBTs. Working as part of the Process Integration team you will have the opportunity to learn power semiconductor processing and integration and gain experience in technology development, processing, applications, advanced TCAD simulation, and layout. As a Process Integration Engineer, you will be given the opportunity to interface with multi-discipline cross-functional teams and make contributions leading to the development of new power semiconductor products.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
·        Work as part of a cross functional team of Process, Integration, Design, and Application Engineers.
·        Define unit process and module integration targets/specs.
·        Design experiments on silicon for unit process development and optimization
·        Corner-pointing critical processes and looking for new failure modes.
·        Determining Failure Analysis requirements
·        Understand tooling capabilities and ensuring robustness is guaranteed and characterized.
·        Electrical characterization and understanding of unit process inputs versus electrical responses and sensitivities.
·        Create Intellectual Property (IP) and actively participate in the IP Program
 
Required Qualifications (Engineer 1):
·        BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Solid State Physics.
·        Experience in IC processing knowledge to include Unit Process Development, Integration, yield/defect metrology are focal areas.
·        Ability to think through and propose Design of Experiments (DOE) to prove theories and solve problems.
·        A solid working knowledge of device physics
 
Required Qualifications (Engineer 1I):
·        BA/BS Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience; or MS Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience
·        Experience in semiconductor fab processing is required.
·        Experience of technical requirements specs, generating specs, testing spec limits and characterizing processes across process windows and all other consideration in manufacturing
·        Engineer I Requirements
 
Required Qualifications (Sr. Engineer):
·        BA/BS Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 6 years of related experience; or MS Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or PhD
·        Engineer I Requirements
·        Proven analytical skills to interpret physical and electrical data
 
Preferred Experience:
·        Excellent SPC/DoE methodology will be differentiating
·        Six-sigma training (black or green belt), and/or lean manufacturing certification is a plus
·        Experience with Silvaco Victory (Process, Mesh, Device)
