Power Semiconductor Design Engineer
iDEAL Semiconductors is breaking the boundaries of the Power Semiconductor space by defining and developing cutting edge technologies for use in the product development of silicon power Diodes, MOSFETs, and IGBTs. Working as part of the design team you will have the opportunity to learn power semiconductor design and gain experience in technology development, processing, applications, advanced TCAD simulation, and layout. As a designer you will be given the opportunity to interface with multi-discipline cross-functional teams and make contributions leading to the development of new power semiconductor products.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
· Work as part of a cross functional team of Design, Process Integration and Application Engineers.
· Propose and develop ideas for new products, problem solutions, and TCAD enhancement.
· Collaborate on Design of Experiments (DOE’s) to determine optimum designs and solutions.
· Combine hands on, empirical, and simulation data to generate solutions and ideas.
· Present results and conclusions to Internal Technical Teams (Design, Process Integration, Applications)
· Expand knowledge and experience of power semiconductor technologies.
· Create Intellectual Property (IP) and actively participate in the IP Program
Required Qualifications (Engineer 1):
· BS in Electrical Engineering or Solid State Physics.
· Knowledge of High Voltage MOSFET or Diode device physics and operation.
· Ability to think through and propose Design of Experiments (DOE) to prove theories and solve problems and incorporate TCAD outputs to generate inputs for DOE’s.
· Organizing, presenting, and making sound conclusion from data for discussion by technical team
Required Qualifications (Engineer 1I):
· BA/BS Electrical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 2 to 4 years of related experience; or MS Electrical Engineering or Solid State Physics plus a minimum of 1 year of related experience
