Site Security Supervisor

NXP is seeking an entry level leader to assist in developing our security program and managing contract guard force operations. The ideal candidate would have a passion for security, safety, integrity and positive people engagement.  Formal security and emergency management experience is not required but highly desired.

 

Reporting to the Site Security Manager, the Site Security Supervisor is responsible for assisting in the leadership and administration of security operations at their assigned site(s).  The employee will need to provide leadership, direction and oversight to security staff with minimal supervision.  Additionally, they will need to partner with key stakeholders to improve the site security.  In the absence or at the direction of the Manager, they will assume the role of managing total site security operations.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Exercise sound judgment in directing the activities of site security staff.
  • Partner and support all aspects of security operations including sites operations, regulatory compliance programs, audits, access credentials management, etc.
  • Develop KPIs with clear objectives and monitor program performance against identified metrics.  Provide backup leadership capabilities for other security teams and sites as needed.
  • Draft SOP, Post Orders, and Policy for manager review.
  • Partner with HR, Safety, Facilities, Real Estate, and other stakeholders to resolve security incidents.
  • Coordinate emergency response for medical, fire, or other emergency incidents.
  • Conduct site assessment surveys and patrols to ensure site integrity.
  • Assume overall leadership of Security Operations in the absence of the Security Manager.
  • Provide physical security presence to de-escalate and mitigate threats against NXP property and personnel.
  • Any other assigned security or safety duties as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have received a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university within the last two calendar years. Preferred degrees: Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Social Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Project Management, Logistics
  • Must possess and be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely with short deadlines and quick turnaround times.
  • Possess problem solving and project management fundamentals.
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic.
  • Basic knowledge of physical security practices and principles.
  • High standard of ethics combined with ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to relate to employees at all levels.
  • Demonstrated presentation and instructional skills.
  • Knowledge and proficiency working with Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.

 

Requirements:

  • BS or MA in related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work all shifts including nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Former law enforcement, military, security, or emergency operations, experience highly desired
