Position Summary:

In this internship opportunity at Skyworks, you will learn and participate in developing advanced, state-of-the-art RF front-end module, working with seasoned engineering professionals and collaborating with subject matter experts
within Skyworks. Not only will you get to know how things work in industry, but you will also accumulate advanced technical knowledge and skills, valuable experience as well as exploring full-time job opportunities at Skyworks.

The duration of this internship will be for 3 months in the summer of 2025.

 

Responsibilities:

• Working with experienced engineers to design/develop multi-chip modules
• Designing semi-lumped RF matching networks, integrated passive devices, couplers, etc. 
• Running simulations using design tools such as Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS, etc. 
• Participating and presenting in design reviews
• Performing lab testing using standard RF test equipment
• Trouble-shooting and resolving design or technical issues
• Collaborating with other engineers and technicians

 

Required Experience and Skills:

• Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering (or related) MS or PhD programs
• Commitment to working on-site for 3 months
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and make an impact
• Strong career interest in RF/microwave Engineering and Electromagnetics
• Willing to share knowledge and collaborate with others
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

 

Preferred Experience and Skills:
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, Keysight ADS
• Hands-on experience in the lab using a network analyzer and other RF instruments
• Knowledge of PA design
