Audio Systems Engineering Summer Intern

Position Summary and Responsibilities

This is a Summer intern position for an engineering student who’s interested in becoming a software and systems engineer in the field of Audio and Acoustics.

Your role will be within our SOC and systems applications teams. You will be working on the analysis of a variety of audio and acoustic systems. You will interface with other engineering teams within the business unit, including our chip/SOC development team, our software development team, our wireless team, and our AI neural network development team.

 

Qualification & Education Requirements

Must be enrolled in Masters or PhD engineering or science education program.

Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscope, DMM, DC power supplies, etc.

 Ability to program in Python, C, C++

Understanding of audio systems

 Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals

Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software.

Self-starter with a strong work ethic and love challenges. Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.

Good communication, organization, and documentation skills 

 

Preferred Skills

Hands-on experience of audio measurement tools and equipment, microphones, mixers, etc.

Developing software for automating audio tests.

Experience with the principals of acoustics.

Experience with soldering SMT components.
