Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:
Our site in Burnet, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.

 

You will be a key player on a dynamic, skilled team whose objective is to sustain and continuously improve the manufacturing environment of specialty chemical products used in semiconductor manufacturing. Our specialty chemicals enable our customers to build high performance semiconductor products. This role will be primarily responsible for the engineering component of the chemistry production work cell in the Advanced Deposition Materials business unit.


What You’ll Do:
• Learn production of high purity chemistries for semiconductor applications
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to make enhancements to production processes that add value to customer while maintaining operational efficiency and safety requirements
• Lead and implement improvement project that directly impacts safety, reliability, cost savings, or production optimization.
• Work with the engineering team to create new part numbers, ECRs and other support documentation used on the manufacturing floor.
• Communicate effectively with other team members to promote a safe, positive, and productive working environment.

What We Seek:

  • High level of interest in the semiconductor industry
  • Previous internship or coursework related to chemical or industrial engineering
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with different engineers


Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• Six Sigma Certification, a plus
• Working with Hazardous Materials

Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:

• Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, graduating in Spring 2025 or later

 

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January 2025-June 2025
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
