Electrical Engineering Co-Op - Spring 2025

The Role:
Our site in Chandler, Arizona is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.


This opportunity supports the Instrumentation business, supporting particle sizing and concentration technologies used in high purity liquid chemical processes for semiconductor manufacturing.


What You’ll Do:
• Support electronic/system development and regulatory compliance (RoHS, EMC, Product Safety), including but not limited to designing, developing, debugging, testing products and electrical assemblies/cables
• Document test plans, evidence of testing products and sub-assemblies
• Host design reviews and technical meetings, steering technical discussions and analysis of technical evidence
• Support driving new product designs and modifications to existing product designs
• Work closely with other engineering disciplines (electrical, software, mechanical, quality, test, manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain) to integrate all product aspects
• Create technical documentation and specifications

What We Seek:
• Design schematic and/or layout CAD experience is desirable (Altium, OrCAD, Mentor Graphics, and/or KiCad)
• Ability to proficiently use fundamental electrical engineering lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, data-acquisition units, and PC-based software tools
• Experience with 8, 16, and 32-bit microprocessor-based systems

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• Experience with FPGA
• Experience with SPI, UART and RS232 communication protocol
• Experience with RoHS, CE, FDA, and/or UL agency compliance
• Experience with product testing, verification, and documentation
• Ability to create precise documentation and reports without supervision
• Experience with Python
• Ability to work effectively & respectfully in a team-based & multi-national global engineering environment

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled student
  • Available to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January 2025-June 2025
  • Must be familiar with the universities requirements to participate in a co-op program
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
