Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking to fill the role of Lithography Photochemical Process Engineer. The process engineer position reports directly to the Litho Track area module manager in Fab8 in Malta, NY.  The engineer will have a large range of responsibilities for sustaining high volume manufacturing as well as new technology development.  The engineer will manage a variety of tasks and projects for both sustaining and improving supply chain assurance, quality, and cost efficiency consistent with the Fab8 business objectives.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

  • Support day to day sustaining of operations through monitoring inventory stock levels and troubleshooting various issues with MCM (Material Change Manager) 
  • Coordinate with various teams including Equipment engineers, Process engineers, SQE, Supply Chain, Logistics, GSM, Finance, Facilities, Safety, etc to solve day to day issues.
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement projects to improve quality, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
  • Mentor and train chemical and maintenance technicians on shift to support bottle changes
  • Interface with photochemical suppliers for continued engagement and support
  • Use Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to assess and mitigate risk for process changes.
  • Support team with technology transfers, photochemical conversions, and photochemical supplier changes. This would include DOE setup, data analysis, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry or other relevant engineering physical science discipline
  • OR a technical Associates degree with 3+ years of semiconductor experience
  • Fluency in English Language written & verbal

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic and self-starter
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and experience in working with external constituencies
  • Strong organizational skills along with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and able to react to shifting priorities to meet business need
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments

Expected Salary Range

$52,500.00 - $107,000.00

 

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
