Job Description

As a DSP Firmware Engineering Intern, you will work on firmware and software simulations (mostly in Python) to develop new features with unit and integration tests for automotive radio products. The focus will be on FM and AM standards. Candidates will be asked to describe their knowledge of embedded software development.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior firmware engineers to determine appropriate interfaces and test criteria
  • Develop features to meet the needs of firmware validation testing
  • Implement unit tests for features under development
  • Document features, limitations, and expected behavior

 

Position Requirements:

  • Must be Proficient in coding C/C++ you'll be translating between C and Python. Good understanding of scripting languages; e.g. Python or Tcl
  • We will only consider BSEE level (or above) Electrical/Computer Engineering University Students (or related).
  • MSEE is a plus and is not required for this role
  • We will only consider University Students with Digital Signal Processing skills.
  • Working knowledge of how digital filters perform and how to make various kinds.  
  • Having created know-how of adaptive processes and Control loops, PLL's.
  • HW/SW interaction, RF understanding, and audio analysis.
