Device and Process Development Intern (8249)

Qorvo High Performance Analog is seeking an intern to accelerate the development of the next-generation GaN RF devices. The Device and Process Development, Intern will perform process development, device DC/RF testing, , and data analysis. This is a full-time Intern position located in Richardson, TX. The position will be temporary in nature and expected to start in May, 2024 for approximately 3-months.

 

Responsibilities may include:

  • Hands-on operation of semiconductor fabrication equipment to develop sophisticated wafer-level processes
  • Perform device characterization using the latest RF/microwave test equipment. Data collection via various metrology tools
  • Process troubleshooting and recipe optimization
  • Experimental design and execution of a fab engineering trial
  • One or more projects in areas involving Evaporation, CVD, PVD, thin film depositing, Electroplating, plasma etch, Dry/Wet Etch, Photolithography, Wafer Dicing, CMP etc.
  • Data analysis using software such as JMP, Spotfire, or Excel

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a MS, PhD (PhD preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related fields
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Self-starter with good problem-solving skills and interests for hands-on work in a clean room facility
  • Knowledge of semiconductor devices and their characterization, including DC and RF
  • Exposure of GaN or GaAs processing and device preferred
  • Semiconductor coursework and/or experience, including standard processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, dry/wet etch, CMP)
  • Self-Starter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
