[Summer 2025] Yield Excellence Engineer Intern

As a Yield Excellence Engineer Intern, you will be [at the frontlines of improving the yield of cutting-edge semiconductors.] All interns will be a part of a 10-week technical development program within our state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities. This program is designed to identify future engineering leaders of TSMC Arizona. The development program will offer valuable industry and functional insight. You will have the opportunity to have a mentor and learn from senior engineers and executives at the company. Example projects include [revolutionizing best known methods to improve their quality in tools valued at ten millions of dollars, pioneering automation to standardize and optimize data collection, and investigating groundbreaking defect issues to challenge the status quo.]

 

What you will learn & how you will contribute: You will learn defect inspection methodology to effectively deduce the root cause of critical issues by collaborating with respective stakeholders and innovate the current techniques to combat defect issues live on the production line.

 

Example: You will be responsible for creating all process maps for process A to C.

Instead, write “you will learn how to establish processes and procedures, communicate changes, and finalize requirements vital to the success of the X group”

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States and have:

  • Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university, in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Material Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering with a concentration in semiconductor devices and processes.
  • Must be able to work full-time (40 hours per week) on-site at our Phoenix location from
    • Semester system: May 19, 2025 – August 1, 2025  or
    • Quarterly system: June 16, 2025 – August 29, 2025 
  • Must be a highly driven self-motivated individual proficient in data analysis and preferred knowledge in semiconductor processes.
  • Strong communication, computer, presentation, listening, working with others needed to contribute to the team and TSMC Arizona’s culture.
