Summary / Role Purpose

The Facilities Security Officer / Contractor Special Security Officer (FSO/CSSO) is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Ansys Government Initiatives (AGI) programs, its employees, and visitors, which includes monitoring and enforcing protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The FSO/CSSO will also train staff on procedures, oversee security systems, and work to prevent incidents. The role requires deep knowledge of safety and security laws, emergency response techniques, and security technologies.

 

Specifically, the FSO is responsible for ensuring that AGI and all cleared employees are compliant with the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM); Joint Air Force, Army, Navy Special Access authorities (JAFAN 6/0), Intelligence Community Directives and Program Guidance (ICDs and ICPGs), or other operational mandates from cognizant contract authorities. The FSO/CSSO will prepare all filings regarding AGI Facility Clearance (FCL), submission of applications to cognizant authorities for personal clearance (PCL) eligibility determinations, prepare and deliver  annual IC/DoD security activities and submissions, review incoming DD-254s (contract security classification guides), prepare regular security self-inspections and reports (per cognizant authorities), support on-site inspections, maintain the AGI Security Program Procedure (SPP) , manage the AGI Insider Threat Program Working Group (ITPWG), maintain the Insider Threat Program Plan, and supervise the Deputy FSO and Facility Manager.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for security oversight of all classified program and contract activities within AGI
  • Acts as AGI senior level security liaison with government customer Security Directors, Contracting Office Technical Rep (COTR) and Contracting Office Security Rep (COSR) personnel
  • Supports the development and administration of classified security programs to include the development and documentation of all proprietary materials, processes and equipment.
  • Oversees implementation of federal security regulations that apply to company operations
  • Evaluates and recommends changes in methods or procedures in assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Direct access to executive level management to fulfill those responsibilities
  • Working with the legal department on Interpreting government requirements and policies and ensuring they are operationalized into company policies and procedures

 

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years management experience in security operations
  • Minimum of 3 years in Industrial Security
  • Must hold active TS/SCI clearance
  • Expertise fostering relationships within the defense and intelligence communities
  • Proven expertise in designing comprehensive security programs
  • Demonstrated ability to direct multiple teams within the scope of implementing security solutions
  • Experience working with the DCSA
  • Comprehensive knowledge of NISPOM and ability to demonstrate previous ability of implementing NISP required support/compliance programs
  • Strong communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work independently
  • The ability to enhance and build key performance indicators and executive presentations
  • Skilled at coordinating classified audits
  • Proven experience handling confidential information
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date knowledge of federal security regulations
  • Must be highly analytic and decisive
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Appropriate Certifications or training in security industry (e.g. CSO, ITPSO, FSO, and other training or certs)
