Position Overview

Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer will have the ongoing ability to develop and utilize a broad engineering skill set at an accelerate pace. Shermco is an ideal fit for smart, motivated process engineers that want to

continuously learn and solve complex problems. Our process engineers work in a dynamic environment where there are no limits on personal or professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Network architecture

• Cause and effect diagram

• Control philosophy

• SCADA Maps

• Programming of control system using PLC and HMI software tools

• Startup/commissioning of control system (within continental US)

Controls equipment to be used include:

• GE RX3i/ RX7ij90-30/90-70/QuickPanel /iFIX/Cimplicity/Proficy (PLC/HMI)

• Siemens S7-300/S7400/S5/TI/WinCC/WinCCFlex/TIA (PLC/HMI)

• Schneider (SquareD) Modicon Quantum/ClearSCADA/[PLC/HMI)

• DeltaV (DCS)

• Wonderware lnTouch/ ArchestrA/System Platform/Win911 [HMI)

• OPC Systems SCADA (HMI)

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology Discipline: Senior with a grad date of Jan 2024 or May 2024

2. Technical Knowledge (nice to have – you’ll have the opportunity to learn on the job what you don’t know!):

· Experience in control systems and startup/commissioning

· Experience within the semiconductor industry is a plus

· Must have experience with low and medium voltage controls

3. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients and collaborate with team members.

4. Problem-Solving Aptitude: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently.

5. Team Player: A collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

6. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and a dynamic work environment.
