About Our Semiconductor Engineering Program
The Valencia College School of Engineering, Technology, and Advanced Manufacturing is excited to introduce its cutting-edge Semiconductor Engineering program. This innovative two-year Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the rapidly growing semiconductor industry. A key feature of the program is a state-of-the-art lab on the Osceola Campus, which offers students hands-on, real-world experience. The lab includes a custom-designed wafer simulated production line, created exclusively for Valencia College by Roots Education Co., LLC, ensuring students are prepared to meet industry demands.

What are the Position Requirements:
- A Master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution with a major in Electronics Engineering Technology, or related Electronics, Electrical/Computer, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electromechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or Technology fields, or Physics OR 18 graduate semester hours in Electronics Engineering Technology, and related Electronics, Electrical/Computer, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electromechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or Technology fields, or Physics and a master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- This position will require face-to-face teaching modalities.
- This position requires the professor to develop laboratory experiences that are thoughtfully designed to align with and support the achievement of the specified learning outcomes. This is a new program, and the faculty member will help to build it from the ground up. The successful candidate may be asked to attend community events on occasion to help promote the program. They will also work with UCF to ensure smooth pathways for students.

Contract Workload:
- (6) 3-contact hour classes for the Spring Term and the Summer Term (March 1, 2025 to July 30, 2025)
- 12 student engagement hours and 5 hours supporting student learning per week for a minimum 35 hour work week
- The length of contract is in accordance with the academic calendar.
- Please note that you will need to establish Florida residency within 30 days from your start date if selected for this position.
- This position is funded by the NSF Grant and is subject to annual renewal
Salary and Additive Information:
Please Note: The base salary based on degree levels are listed below for a 12-Month contract. This appointment is beginning mid-year and the salary and additive will be prorated accordingly based on the actual start date and according to institutional guidelines and policies.
Salary is determined based on relevant work experience and relevant highest earned degree level. The salary range by degree level is listed below:
Master’s: $50,387-$66,803
Master’s +30: $54,418-$72,148
Doctorate: $56,434-$74,819
