More about the role  

We’re looking for a Field Quality Engineer to join our Team in Austin TX.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Assess field issues through detailed NC (non-conformance) / failure analysis, identify data trends and drive quantified root cause identification

Works closely with Customer Service / Field Application Engineers and cross functional teams to identify root cause and establish corrective actions for installation, maintenance, workmanship, application, and design related issues.

Prioritize initiatives according to the customer impact, cost-benefit analysis and risk association, perform quality stand downs with customer service / quality technicians as needed to convey and correct quality issues

Develop a system to identify new failure modes and react accordingly, own and provide governance of corrective and preventative actions.

Monitor, communicate and improve key customer facing KPI’s; Warranty as % of Sales, Out of Box pass rate, RMA FA Time, Model / Part / Manufacturing date failure rate

 

More about you 

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or manufacturing Engineering

1 + years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment

Industry experience in (automotive, Large Appliances, semiconductor, lighting) preferred

Able to interact at all levels within the organization, from advising and reporting to top management

Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal English communication skills.

Salary: $66,500 - $97,570

Bonus:  target bonus opportunity 5%
