Summary:
The Qorvo Acoustic R&D team is looking for a process engineer specializing in plasma processing to support next generation acoustic filter device development. The candidate will be responsible for multiple processing areas for film deposition and removal including CVD as well as plasma etching (RIE/ICP).
Responsibilities:
Ownership of modules and process development of RIE/ICP processes for acoustic filter research and manufacturing
Ownership of modules and process development of CVD dielectric deposition for acoustic filter research and manufacturing
Collaboration with device integration engineers to meet project needs and implement innovative solutions to technical challenges
Solve technical problems individually and in a team environment
Design experiments to establish and optimize deposition and removal processes
Drive processes modules from development into high volume manufacturing executing project goals and managing risk through key milestone
Implement process monitoring, controls and metrics for high volume manufacturing processes
Qualifications:
MS in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent; PhD preferred.
3+ years relevant work experience or PhD
Experience in semiconductor research or manufacturing desirable, but not required.
Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DoE)
Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills required
Demonstrated problem-solving methods and experience
Experience with data analysis tools and techniques such as Matlab, Python, Spotfire or similar software packages
Scripting/programming experience preferred; SQL queries, data analysis scripting
Must be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and windows-based software
