Computer Engineering Co-op

May - August 2018 • Lexington, KY

What I liked

The work environment was very cooperative, and every employee was incredibly helpful. The work was very interesting and there was never a shortage of tasks to be completed.

What I wish was different

If there were more interns in the same department, it would be much easier to become acclimated to the work environment.

Advice

Start your work as soon as it is given to you because if you don't it will start to pile up quickly.

Failure Analysis Intern

July - September 2018 • Temecula, CA

What I liked

I was really able to understand the process framework of one of the biggest power semiconductor companies in the world from the front-end to the back-end processes. I also received a hands on experience with electrical parts using skills that I had learned before, as well as learning new skills along the way.

What I wish was different

Sometimes I felt that I was not being challenged as much as I could have been. I wish I had been pushed a little more and given more problems to solve.

Advice

Although it's only an internship, go into it with a drive to get things done and learn new things everyday. Ask a ton of questions, especially if you need help. Because it was my first experience in the corporate world, I really learned to be a go-getter instead of waiting for things to come to you.
